But Rajesh Khanna appeared at the balcony of his house along with Akshay Kumar and Dimple Kapadia. He smiled and waved at the crowd gathered outside his home. He made the victory sign too indicating that he is fine. He was dressed in a crisp white kurta, a stole and dark shades.
“He is absolutely fine, healthy and hearty. It was all rumours that he is unwell. On the contrary, he is more than fine. The information that you people have got is absolutely wrong,” Rajesh Khanna’s son-in-law, actor Akshay Kumar told reporters outside Rajesh Khanna’s bungalow Ashirwad in Bandra.
“Rajesh Khanna’s health is fine,” a doctor attending to him said. “His health is better than before. For the last two days he was not eating anything but now he has started eating. He is better. He is fine now,” the doctor added.
With a heavily bearded look, he appeared weak. But his spirits seemed high. He flashed his same old smile which in his heydays made millions of his female fans go crazy. Girls used to get married to his photographs when he was at the peak of his stardom.
Later on Akshay Kumar tweeted to his fans, “All those spreading rumours, a humble request, get your facts right before reporting. And for those genuinely concerned & inquiring about my father in-law’s health, he is doing fine now & on the road to recovery. Thank you for your good wishes.”
Rajesh Khanna was the first superstar of Bollywood and delivered many hits. Later on many more stars rose on the horizon and he had to share the limelight with others too. This is nothing new and happens with every actor. Hope he emerges fit and fine and face the arch lights again to the delight of his fans.
