A constable of Rajasthan police, Chitar Mal, arrived at Shahrukh Khan’s house Mannat to issue court’s summon for allegedly smoking at Jaipur’s Sawai Man Singh Stadium during an IPL match. Shahrukh Khan was in Pune at that time for a match between his IPL team KKR and Delhi Daredevils. The police has issued summon to his family memebrs with the help of Bandra police.
On 8th April, Shahrukh Khan was spotted smoking publicly at Sawai Maan Singh Stadium during an IPL match between Rajasthan Royals and KKR. Supreme Court has banned smoking at public places.
Anand Singh Rathore, director of Jaipur Cricket Academy, registered a police complaint against Shahrukh Khan for smoking at a public place. Rathore is of the view that Shahrukh Khan conduct is going to send a right signal to youngsters who are his fans too and imitate him. Anand Singh Rathore also said that Shahrukh Khan was smoking in front of thousands of cricket fans despite ban on smoking publicly.
Rajasthan police constable, Chitar Mal said, “I have been ordered by my superior to give this summon personally to Shah Rukh. If he is not present I will give it to other family members present in the house and take their signatures.”
Rajasthan Police has taken action against Shahrukh Khan under section 5/11 of Rajasthan Prohibition of Smoking Act of 2000. Jaipur’s chief metropolitan magistrate’s court had issued summons to Shahrukh Khan. The court told him to be present for hearing of the case on May 26.
Senior police inspector Abhay Shastri from Bandra said, “The Rajasthan police reached here at 3 pm and after making a diary entry on our records, we helped the constable reach Shah Rukh’s house. The summon was given to a relative as SRK was not present, and then our team came back.”

Shahrukh Khan was allegedly involved in a brawl at Wankhade Stadium in Mumbai. MCA has imposed a five-year-ban on Shahrukh Khan. The ban is under review from BCCI.
