Vidya Balan may not be a style icon, but an obvious favourite among the masses. No wonder she is called the hero of her films, and what could be a better way to celebrate her newly acquired heroism than a photoshoot. The fashionistas may look out for boyfriend T-shirts or would indulge in androgyny fashion, but here is Vidya hotting up the March issue of FHM, wearing a lungi.
Welcome the star of the moment, Vidya Balan! FHM India proudly announces. “Lungis, Gangis and Return of Vidya Balan”. Actually, the actress changed her image with FHM in 2010 when she posed backless wearing an undraped sari. The actress, who at that time was not associated with bigger films like The Dirty Picture or Kahaani, shocked the industry with her sensational avatar on FHM. Then, she advocated curves, and still continues to enjoy he femininity.
In the photoshoot with FHM for March 2012 issue, Vidya has tried out several get-ups which are typical of a South Indian hero, but for the cover she has gone backless. However, the only difference is that this time she is posing in a lungi rather than a sari. And we didn’t find it less sexy.
Even though the voluptuous actress tries to look mannish in the photoshoot, she ends up looking sizzling hot. Call her the new Khan, a wo(man), or a female Aamir Khan, Vidya is quintessentially a great performer, who gladly says that she is in the industry to act.
