Tezz's 1st Show Review

The word Tezz has different connotations. It means speedy and it also implies sharp. While Priyadarshan's action thriller undoubtedly is life in the fast lane, one can't essentially say it's a sharp story. But it isn't blunt either!

Aakash (Ajay Devgn) has set bombs on a train speeding from London to Glasgow. Retired counter-terrorism officer Arjun Khanna (Anil Kapoor) is summoned to investigate the case. As Arjun tries to negotiate with Aakash, he simultaneously attempts to trace his whereabouts.

Unlike the more recent Hollywood train-thrillers like Unstoppable (2010) or The Taking of Pelham 123 (2009), Tezz derives its soul from Keanu Reeves' Speed (1994) and changes the conveyance from road to rail. Like the Keanu Reeves's film, even Tezz employs the basic threat that the bombs on train will go off if the speed falls below a certain limit.

However much against the potential of the plot, most of the action in the film doesn't happen on or around the train. While the focus essentially is on the one-upmanship between Anil Kapoor and Ajay Devgn with the pursuit shifting positions between land and water, one would have loved to see more of rail in the film beyond its external ariel shots. Alas the maximum adventure that one gets to see on the train is an attempt to shift passengers to a parallel locomotive - an idea as old as The Burning Train (1980).

However the major drawback of Tezz is that the motive behind the entire train takeover seems too weak. It's not a terrorist operation but a man's vengeance against a country. A country that deported him for being an illegal immigrant and working without permit! Tezz tries to set its entire train-seize drama on such trivial grounds. With Ajay Devgn being the main lead, the antagonist is still the hero of the film and so he is not defined as a professional criminal but is doing the one-off operation for seeking revenge. Now that's like having one's cake and eating it too. The director wants you to sympathize with the antagonist and yet maintain that his method is wrong. Supporting characters (Zayed Khan, Sameera Reddy) are inducted in the plot with the same conflicts.

The pacing of the film is in absolute accordance with the title and the narrative runs as relentlessly as the locomotive. The past-describing prologue doesn't run beyond 90 seconds and the film comes to point pretty fast with the train hijack starting within the first 10 minutes. With that Robin Bhatt steers away from any surplus in the screenplay but, at the same time, the characters and their conflicts also appear underdeveloped. There are no background accounts of Zayed or Sameera beyond a fleeting flashback scene. And with lines like 'izzat milti nahi, cheen ni padti hain' and 'bhugatna poore kaum ko padta hain', Aditya Dhar's dialogues run in the conventional domain.

Thereby it's left to the action sequences (not involving the train) to keep you riveted and they do so to a good extent. Even the chase scenes are well-shot and don't appear disturbing or distracting like in most action movies. Evidently, the action boils down to a traditional fistfight in the end as per Bollywood prerequisites. However, Priyadarshan adds such dexterity to the drama and pace to proceedings that it, more or less, compensates for the conventionalism in the chronicle.

Priyanka is not the reason behind delay of Barfee - Anurag Basu

Director Anurag Basu has denied reports that his forthcoming film "Barfi!" is being delayed because of Priyanka Chopra, who is playing the female lead in the movie that also stars Ranbir Kapoor.

"Nothing is getting delayed because of her (Priyanka), she has given a lot of dates," said Anurag Basu at the success party of Onir's "I Am".

"I have been denying it again and again but these reports keep cropping up. She has already finished her work, only two days work is left and it is merely a patchwork, it's me who wants to shoot in those two days," he added.

"Barfi!" stars Ranbir as a deaf-mute boy while Priyanka essays the role of an autistic girl. Telugu actress Ileana D'Cruz plays narrator.

The shooting is almost over, said Basu and added: "These are speculations. The film is not getting delayed because of anyone. The film is almost complete, we are just waiting for the right date to be decided by UTV. Even I am waiting for that date."

New actress of dhoom-3

Rani Mukherjee was written off by the Indian audiences. However, she proved her worth yet again with her amazing performance in ‘No One Killed Jessica’.
The latest buzz has it that Rani Mukerji is being considered for Yash Raj’s Dhoom 3. Well, yes! you heard it right. Rani might join the cast of Dhoom 3, as well.
A source close to the project informed, “Rani might be seen in a role similar to Aishwarya Rai in Dhoom 2. In Dhoom 3, Aamir is playing the villain and Rani shares a fabulous rapport with him. In fact, she had once mentioned on a chat show how Aamir had been her best co-star among all Khans.”
“YRF has three big films with the Khans – Salman, Shah Rukh and Aamir. Two of these projects are already on floors. This leaves only Dhoom3 open with a challenging female role. Rani too is keen on being a part of the film. She will take a call soon,” added the source.
However, YRF spokesperson said, “We will make a D 3 announcement as and when there is something new to share.”

Not Happy That Sachin Tendulkar Is A Rajya Sabha Member: Sanjay Dutt

Seems Sachin Tendulkar’s Rajya Sabha nomination is becoming costly for him. Many of Sachin’s big celebrity fans are expressing their unhappiness openly after Sachin choosed to be a member of Rajya Sabha.

The latest being Sanjay Dutt, who terms himself to be a big fan of Sachin Tendulkar.

“It is an honour to be in the Rajya sabha. I am a fan of Sachin. He is the pride and jewel of India. But, I am not happy that he is a Rajya Sabha member. He should have been the way he is,” Sanjay said.

Many retired crickets were happy over Sachin’s nomination but at the same time expressed their concerns whether Sachin will have time to do both jobs, on field and in Parliament.

As a Sachin fan myself I would have liked to see him contribute more towards the game and help young cricketers to enhance their skill. So what are your views ?

Life Ki Toh Lag Gayi - Review

No doubt there is something very charming about a story line that starts with different threads and merges into one coherent story by the end. Life Ki Toh Lag Gayi kills that romanticized idea. It is indeed painful to write a review when you have only bad things to say about it. Except for the one quirky character Ajay Ghosh, Life Ki Toh Lag Gayi has nothing going for it. And this is despite having a cast that consists Kay Kay Menon and Ranvir Shorey!

They do try their best, but what can they do with the little their individual threads do to contribute to the film. Individually a couple of their scenes work really well, but that's about it. But even that much cannot be said about Manu Rishi and Neha Bhasin's thread unless you call a hearty laugh at the writers, for calling Shakti Kapoor 'innocent looking', entertainment.

Yes, it gets that crass at times. At others it alternates between plain silly and boring. It's difficult for me to get angry or hate something that a small budget film with a new director has tried to do. Life ki toh lag gayi only made me indifferent towards, which as is said, is worse than evoking hatred.

The Morning after the Dark Night

It had been over a year now since the fateful day when Ashish left without saying a word to Neha. Life had taken a different course for both of them since then. Neha, though hurt, had decided to look for the positives from that chapter of her life. It was hard; it was damn hard as she had never imagined a life without Ashish. But Neha was a fighter; she was not the one to give up without a fight. Ironical though as that was the very quality which had drawn Ashish closer to her in the first place!

The first few days after Ashish left; Neha spent a lot of time in retrospection. She had to figure out where she would be headed from there on. The good thing was she wasn’t bitter; hurt yes but definitely not bitter and that helped her take one step after the other towards a happier life. Neha was a lawyer yes, but what she loved more than anything else was to write. In all the toils of day to day life, she had left behind this passion of hers somewhere. How once upon a time there was nothing more she wanted to do but write. But due to pursuits of a settled life she had chosen a profession which was safer. But as life would have it, everything that she wanted didn’t pan out. Ashish was also a safe bet, she loved him and he loved her too; that’s why they married didn’t they? But now what, he was gone. Safe or not, the choices now seemed wrong. So Neha eventually decided to leave her practice. She wanted to live her life without guarantees; she wanted to face life head on. No safe bets, no more calculated decisions; she decided to follow her passion of writing and see where it takes her. Neha decided to venture out and for once not lose her today for tomorrow!

Ashish on the other hand continued with his life; the same court cases, the same office; only now it was without Neha. Was he happy now that he wasn’t in a relationship with Neha which lacked love, well that was a question the answer to which even he couldn’t fathom? But then he had to see his decision through; it wasn’t like he had taken that step out of the blue. He had thought for days before acting on it. It wasn’t a whim; it was a well thought out move in life. He missed Neha but as a friend; atleast that’s what he told himself. The two of them were now headed to different directions, once travelling together in life they had now become strangers. Life is strange that way!

Neha had taken up the role of contributing editor for an online journal. She was happy; she spent the days doing what she loved. She started healing; it was good for her. The calmness of her face began to resurface. She looked at peace, she looked contented. Ofcourse the scars would always remain; but that didn’t stop Neha from embracing life with all the zeal and zest possible. She was doing well; her articles for the journal were being appreciated. She was receiving small assignments from various dailies; though they were few and far in between but nevertheless they came her way.

Sure enough everything was returning back to normal for Neha; but would this be how she would live her life? Isn’t a partner needed to share the wonderful experiences of life? Wouldn’t she be missing out on a very important attachment in life; that of being with someone special? Wasn’t Neha lonely? These questions obviously perturbed Neha too but she would brush off these concerns for she didn’t want to go through the same cycle again. It wasn’t worth it according to her to invest herself in a relationship again.

Ashish was doing well in his career; why wouldn’t he? He had always been really good at work. But something was amiss; inspite of all the success he was missing something. There was something lacking in his life. He couldn’t figure out what it was; but it definitely lacked something. Was he too feeling the pangs of life without a companion? Perhaps but he wasn’t ready for a relationship too. He didn’t end things with Neha to get into a relationship with someone else right away. He felt something was missing in their rapport and that was the logical step to take. If that was true then why was he not truly happy from within? Was there still unfinished business between Neha and him? Even if there was Ashish certainly hadn’t realized it yet.

Days turned into months; but inspite of the accolades Ashish received in his professional life he decided he had to go away from everything he knew for some time. Ashish was always a good man. He always wanted to do what was right. Perhaps the uneasiness in his heart was due to questions in his mind about his decision. He was concerned about Neha ; whether or not in a relationship with her he wanted Neha to always be happy. Perhaps he needed to see her settled for him to actually start living without any regrets.

Neha on the other hand began giving wings to her dreams. Her articles reached new heights of popularity. She became a known name in the online fraternity of fiction lovers. Her stories were warm, inviting to read. Then came the day when Neha got a call from a reputed publishing house. Yes they wanted to sign a book deal with her, considering her talent and the audience she had established for her works. Yes good things do happen to good people it only takes time. Neha had a new lease in life; she had a definite direction. She was happy and instinctively picked up the phone and began dialing Ashish’s number; but stopped with a sudden realization. Why was she calling him? She stood there dumbfounded; as always she wanted to share this good news with Ashish; for a moment she had forgotten that they weren’t together any longer. She smiled ; kept the phone down and went out to that very balcony; that day when Ashish left, the whole city that lay in front of her seemed unknown to her; she felt like an outsider who had to fit in; today that very city seemed inviting again towards her. Perception and state of mind made the difference between the two. Her resolve to not feel sorry for herself got her this far and she knew it would take her ahead too.

Sometimes in life it’s better not to think about the future; sometimes even the well thought out and balanced paths fail to take us to our destination. They say ‘The habit of looking to the future and thinking that the whole meaning of the present lies in what it will bring forth is a pernicious one. There can be no value in the whole unless there is value in the parts.’ Sometimes unknown, untouched paths take us right where we always wanted to be. Surely those paths are long and strewn with the unknown but they make life what it is – an astounding voyage!

Both Neha and Ashish felt the twinges of loneliness; something still bound them together. All the years spent together certainly couldn’t be flushed out of their minds in a matter of months. Something took them apart; but there was also something that still held them close. Would they find their way back to each other? Even if one of them did would the other be ready for it only time would tell as they say “Absence diminishes mediocre passions and increases great ones, as the wind extinguishes candles and fans fires.”

Every End is a New Beginning

As she drove down the alley, tears gushed down her cheeks; how could this be happening to her? How could Ashish want divorce? When did they grow apart? Five years of marriage is a long time and they had been together even before that. She didn’t want to go back home, what was left there; even Ashish wasn’t hers anymore!

Ashish and Neha had met while in high school; went on to study in the same college and were both successful lawyers now. They had climbed the stairs of success together, lauding each other and being each other’s support. A successful career, a beautiful house and a strong marriage was theirs until yesterday when Ashish expressed his desire to go on separate paths.

That night Ashish and Neha retired in different rooms. Infact they didn’t even speak a word to each other. She knew it was best to speak to Ashish after giving him space for a few days. She knew him so well. Neha had always thought that theirs was a bond for eternity. She would have never even in her wildest dreams thought that something like this would befall someday.

Sleep was hard to come by that night. Neha went to the study and sat down with their wedding album. Dust had accumulated over it; they hardly ever sat down to look at the album together. It laid there; all memories in it tucked away in a corner of their study. As she flipped open the pages of the album, she realized how much their relationship had changed over these 5 years. Earlier they spent much more time with each other but now they would only discuss cases or sit together with their laptops. They were with each other physically but actually were in different spaces. They had both taken each other for granted. Life had become more about careers and money rather than each other’s company. But still she worked hard to help Ashish secure their future, then what had happened that caused Ashish to take this step?
As she flipped through the album further, there it was the picture of the instant when Ashish applied vermillion on Neha. It was supposed to be the culmination of their wedding vows. They were now meant to be entwined together, forever. They looked so happy! But that was then and now everything was in shatters. Tears didn’t seem to stop that night. She kept wondering what went wrong.

Exhausted with the constant crying and the heaviness of her heart Neha drifted off to sleep in the study with the album in her embrace. She still looked pretty but the work pressure had left its mark. There were signs of stress on her face. The calmness had disappeared and she looked burdened with pain.

That night Ashish strolled into the study; he saw Neha sleep like a baby with their wedding album in her arms. He felt sorry too; but what he felt for her was sympathy as she had invested her time and energy into this relationship. But there was no love; just habit that was the reason they were together now. He didn’t want to hurt her but there was nothing left apart from empathy in their association and this certainly shouldn’t be the reason for them being together he thought.

He knew it wouldn’t be easy to let go of things between him and Neha. If he waited to speak to Neha, he wouldn’t be able to stay firm on his decision which he knew was for the greater good of both. The love was not there, it was only out of respect for each other and routine that they were still together. It was for the betterment of them both that Ashish had to take this step. He hoped somewhere down the line Neha would understand. He hoped Neha would now give wings to her wishes; live for herself; fulfill her dreams. He quickly gathered all his belongings and left the house.

It was already noon when Neha woke up. She rushed to their room but Ashish wasn’t there. Dejected she thought to herself that she would speak to him in the evening when he gets home. As she went to freshen up, she noticed that Ashish’s stuff was nowhere around. Instinctively she went to their room and opened their cupboard, his clothes and other belongings were gone. It was like somebody had shot her at point blank range. When Ashish had talked about breaking off their marriage there was still hope; hope for sorting things out. But now since Ashish had left without saying a word Neha was flabbergasted.

Never in her life would she have imagined being at this crossroad in life. All this while she was striving for the dream that was theirs or atleast that’s what she thought. She felt numb and hardly felt any emotion. As she sat on her bed staring at her life vacantly, she noticed a note on the side of her bed. It read ‘Neha the love we had got lost somewhere along the way; I don’t want us being together just for the heck of it. It would be unfair to both. Hope one day you’ll be able to forgive me. Live your dreams live for yourself now Neha.’ For some reason at that moment she felt a release, it was as if she was free all of a sudden.

She walked over to the balcony and as she looked over the city, she resolved to move ahead without regret. Ofcourse wounds would take time to heal or perhaps would never heal but life had to go on and this time it would only be for her.

They say “When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.” Neha decided to look for the new door; look for the new change in her life. Ofcourse she was hurt; who wouldn’t be but she decided to give life a second chance, she decided to walk towards a better tomorrow instead of sulking in the past. In today’s day and age nothing lasts forever. Certain things are beyond our control; only thing we can do is remember “Relationships are like glass. Sometimes it’s better to leave them broken than try to hurt yourself putting it back together.”

The Incomplete Reunion

Several months had passed since that fateful night in Khandala but there was no news of Ravi. Initially there was lot of hue and cry as an IPS officer had gone missing. There were statements from politicians; ruckus in the assembly; debates in various news channels; all scouting for a piece of the pie. But eventually the hype died down; nobody cared apart from the family in trouble. Shreya didn’t know what to tell her kids. They would unassumingly ask for Ravi and she had to lie to them about him being on tour. When they insisted on speaking on the phone with their daddy, Shreya again had to make up some pretext to avoid it.

Shreya made visits after visits to the head quarters but no good news ever came through. People had started suspecting the worst in hush tones. Often Shreya’s mind would also come to the same conclusion but no sooner than such thoughts entered her mind; she flushed it away replacing it with hope. Ravi had to live; he had to come back for they had planned a future together; he had been away for long on assignments and now this but he had to come back she thought.

Days passed; weeks turned into months and eventually it was an entire year since the incident. The kids stopped asking about Ravi any further and Shreya didn’t know which door to knock at anymore. She had tried everything possible but to no avail.

One night after Shreya had put the kids to sleep; as she stood in their lawn engrossed in thoughts suddenly her cell blinked with a call from an unknown number. As she answered, the person on the other side sounded familiar. For a moment she was confused and couldn’t decipher who it was as the person was whispering. But then it struck her; it was none other than Ravi. Yes indeed it was Ravi. But why was he whispering? Where was he calling from? If he was alright why was he not coming home? As she stood flabbergasted and confused; Ravi asked her to meet on the anniversary of their engagement at the place where they had met for the first time and hung up the call!

Why was Ravi being so cryptic? As a million emotions ran through her; that of happiness at listening to his voice; of relief at knowing that he was alive; of anger at him not saying anything else; there was a knock at her door. It was Ravi’s friend Sujith he too had received a call from Ravi who wanted to meet him along with Shreya.

They sat in Shreya’s living room trying to figure out what sort of trouble he might be in that took him so long to reach out to them. There was still time for the stipulated meeting; till then they had to make sure nobody found out about it. Ravi never did anything without any substantial reason; the very fact that he was being so careful in not openly disclosing the date and time on call meant that the calls were being monitored. During their time together; Ravi had taught Shreya a thing or two about such situations. How to ensure that she wasn’t being tailed and how to ensure safety for their children.

Shreya sent Guddu and Gudia to her in-law’s place and got about ensuring a safe meeting with Ravi. With the help of Sujith, she made sure there was no spying equipment at her place to monitor her movements. She took a new number in the name of her maid which she would give Ravi for communicating further if the need arises. Sujith too ensured that he was not being followed or kept a watch on. The countdown to the meeting began and finally it was the day when several of their questions would be answered.

Sujith and Shreya reached the place; an abandoned college campus on the outskirts of the city. They went to several detours to ensure not being followed. They reached there well before time to scout the place for any traps; as they waited for Ravi several thoughts ran through Shreya’s mind. She was scared as well as anxious.

They had been waiting for two hours but there was no sign of Ravi. As they started contemplating on whether to leave or wait a while longer, there was flutter among the bushes behind the spot they were standing. Sujith pushed Shreya behind the wall and waited with his revolver for whoever it was behind the bushes to emerge. To their surprise a tall man dressed shabbily looking like a hungry hobo came forth; as Sujith started questioning him; Shreya came out from behind and ran towards the man. She kept hugging him and crying; it dawned on Sujith that it was none other than Ravi.

There was so much to explain, so much to know. Shreya and Sujith had so many questions; Ravi had so much to say. Where had he been for a year? What had happened that night in Khandala? The answers to those questions and Ravi’s disappearance would now be found. As Ravi began his tale; they could hear sirens at the abandoned college building’s gate. Ravi freaked at the sound; he was angry as he thought Sujith had called for backup. But when Sujith denied any knowledge to it; Ravi told both Sujith and Shreya that he would meet them again soon but they needed to get out of there now. There were people who would rather see Ravi dead for reasons he required time to explain. For the moment; he could only ask them to trust on him and go back without being seen by the cavalry. Ravi kissed Shreya on her forehead and told her he loved her and after this he would never leave her alone. He asked her for support one last time to complete his mission. With tears gushing down her cheeks, Shreya nodded she knew Ravi would keep his word. She knew they would finally have that future together and a little longer wait now seemed irrelevant. So they left; with unanswered questions but still some sort of relief at the knowledge of the fact that Ravi was still alive.

What was it that Ravi wanted to share? Who had informed the force about their meeting and why did Ravi not want to come infront of the police? So many questions; perhaps all would be answered in the next meeting. Till then all hung in the balance with chains of hope and faith as they say everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end!

New Ray Of Hope

The end to the story of Shreya and Ravi; the part after The Incomplete Reunion

Shreya stood at her bedroom veranda as rain drops poured down heavily on the city in slumber. It was as if the skies were shedding tears at the helplessness she felt. She was confused whether to be pleased at finally meeting Ravi or be sad at the abrupt end to their reunion. With the cool breeze and the silent night as her companion, Shreya’s mind went back and forth to the events of the day. It was like a player on loop; the same events occurring over and over again infront of her eyes. But answers would only come by when she would be able to get some time with Ravi. But when?

Shreya was tired of all the uncertainty. When Ravi was around in the past she was happily taking care of every errand around the house. It didn’t matter that Ravi was always busy; atleast he would be back at the end of the day. The house was like a haven of happiness. Yes she would be irked at Ravi not being able to find time for her and the kids, but then she could always fight with him for being so occupied! But now not only was she single parenting the kids; there was also no hope of Ravi returning at the end of the day. Who would she fight with; nobody!

Shreya was alone in the house; Guddu and Gudia were safely at their grandparents’. After Ravi had gone missing inspite of the loneliness; the kids were there to keep her company. She missed them and wished they were with her. That night sleep was hard to come by; Shreya went around the house ensuring every door and window was properly locked. She had become sceptical of everything around but who would blame her after the ordeal she had been through. After her usual round around the house; she went to her study and sat with her laptop to catch up on some mails.

While still in her study, Shreya heard a faint knock at her window. Her first reaction was to check the time. It was around 1 and it was an unusual for anybody to come see her then let alone knock at the window. But no sooner than she thought that; a feeling dawned on her; perhaps it was Ravi! She walked towards the window; slowly pulled up the curtain and peeked outside. A man just about as tall as Ravi stood there; gazing at her. In the dark she couldn’t make out if it was indeed Ravi; but as he moved closer to the window she realised she was right. It was Ravi outside; she hurriedly opened the window and let him in.

After so long he was home; both were overwhelmed with emotions. They hugged; smiled and cried all at the same time. Finally Shreya would get the answers she had all the while been waiting for. As they sat in the comforts of their home; Ravi looked tired and famished. Before he could clear the doubts; Shreya asked him to go clean up till she made him his favourite food. But Ravi looked at her with a grave expression; with a heavy voice he said there wasn’t enough time. He needed to talk then and there without delay.

They switched off every light in the house and sat on the floor as Ravi began with his tale. Ravi had been working on a case of a notorious drug dealer Rajan. Rajan was known for his uncouth brazen approach towards life which made him one of the most feared names in the underworld. He was not only involved in smuggling of drugs but was one of the most cold-blooded killers of the time. He killed people with the ease of breathing in air. Rajan was the prime suspect for murders of some of the force’s bright young officers. He was a ruthless killer and it was very important for him to be sent to the gallows. But the lack of evidence against him made it difficult to control his menace. If at all there were any witnesses to his crimes they would mysteriously vanish. More than that Rajan didn’t stop at the officer’s life; he wiped out entire families.

Ravi had been handed Rajan’s case few weeks before that fateful night after a very capable officer and his family were brutally murdered by Rajan. As Ravi began investigating; he began receiving threatening calls from Rajan’s men to back off or suffer the consequences. Infact they had sworn to end the lives of his family too if he didn’t mend his ways. He soon noticed some shady men had begun following them everywhere. It didn’t take time for Ravi to deduce that they were Rajan’s men. For Ravi to work on Rajan’s case without being tailed and without his family being put to danger; he needed a plan.

That day as they had driven from Mumbai to Khandala, Ravi noticed they were again being pursued by the same men. It was clear what they had in mind; Ravi had to act quickly. So he hatched a plan and decided to disappear from there. That night after the call he had come inside and stayed up in wait for an opportunity to put his plan into effect as his family lay asleep in oblivion. He waited for morning and for people to be up and about as then even if he was gone the men wouldn’t dare to hurt his family. So in the morning, with Shreya and kids still asleep and guests of the resort jogging around, Ravi came out of the room. He left his phone at the spot outside to make it look like a kidnapping as though it had fallen while Ravi was being taken away. He hid in the room next to Shreya’s which was empty just to make sure his family was safe. He wanted to tell Shreya everything but decided against it for her and the kids’ safety. He hoped for Rajan and his men to think that some drug dealer who Rajan had been after had finally gotten rid of him. Perhaps then they would leave his family alone and Ravi would be able to work on the case and before you know it solve it too! As he had figured the news of Ravi disappearing was enough to get the men off his and his family’s back. Atleast that’s what he thought at that time.

At this piece of news Shreya looked visibly upset. Perhaps a few days were even explicable but what plan was it that made him stay away from his family for an entire year. She was angry at Ravi’s decision. She didn’t want to listen to anything Ravi had to tell her further. She felt betrayed for being kept in the dark for so long. What about the kids who kept asking where their dad was all the time? How could Ravi have been so stone cold and never for a while thought of what he had been making his family go through? She cried and asked him how it was fair at all? She had gone through hell this past year; having visions of Ravi lying dead in some god forsaken corner or the world and she would never get to know what happened to him. How could he have not thought about that?

Ravi knew that Shreya had just about had it. But he pulled her by his side and begged her to give him a few more minutes to explain. He was sorry for hurting her and abandoning the kids but he still wanted her to know the full story before it was too late. So he continued; he followed his family to Mumbai in disguise and then spent the first few days in arranging a hideout for himself. He had imagined it would be a matter of few weeks but little did he know how wrong he was.

He began tailing and gathering information about Rajan. His informers were also helping him in the same. Carefully he had slowly found his way to Rajan’s gang. Finally one day a deal was about to go down between Rajan and another mafia head. Ravi had waited for this opportunity and he anonymously informed the police about the place and time. He laid in wait for the moment of truth. Slowly the mafia bosses and their gangs arrived. As the deal was underway a young officer came in with the force. In the cross fire however; the police were grossly outnumbered and injured. To top it all out of all horrors; the officer was lying infront of Rajan. At any moment he would be killed right infront of Ravi’s eyes. Ravi had to act quick but without revealing his identity.

Before Rajan could shoot; Ravi offered to do the dirty work for him. He pulled the officer and then ensued a battle between the two. Ravi was just holding off till the police back up arrived so that he didn’t have to kill the officer to prove his loyalty to Rajan. His prayers were answered and soon the whole building was surrounded by the force. As Ravi continued the fight with the officer, blow after blow, Rajan called on to Ravi to help him escape from there. That was Ravi’s opportunity; if he could successfully take Rajan out of there alive he would get in on his circle of trusted members which would make it easier for him to gather evidence against him.

As Ravi began working with Rajan; he found out that Rajan had placed people on watch 24 by 7 outside his house. Rajan couldn’t believe that an astute officer like Ravi had vanished in air. He wanted to make sure that Ravi was gone for good and if at all Ravi was seen at the household or with the family; Rajan had given orders to finish them all. That closed all avenues of Ravi contacting his family before putting Rajan and his men behind bars.

Days passed and turned into months; Ravi was working with Rajan yes but still hadn’t managed a position inside his innermost circle which had knowledge of his every wrongdoing. Ravi had come so far and though he missed his family and wanted to go back to them, it wouldn’t be wise or safe to abandon his work in the middle. Gradually after almost a year; circumstances turned in favour of Ravi and finally by his loyalty towards Rajan he had finally become Rajan’s right hand man. He finally had every detail of Rajan’s horrific deeds. It was now a matter of weeks before his mission would be completed. Therefore Ravi decided to contact Sujith and Shreya; he needed Sujith for he had been Ravi’s partner for years and he would bring the needed backup to get Ravi’s plan to close. Also Sujith was somebody he could trust as there were several moles too in the force. He also knew that this mission would be dangerous so he needed Shreya to know the whole truth lest he wouldn’t be able to return; to forgive him for all the hurt.

In all this he needed Shreya to know that he hadn’t abandoned her, he never could. If this mission went down as he planned he would leave the force and make up for all lost time. Shreya was still mad at Ravi but then she was happy too for she finally was with him. Shreya wanted Ravi to stay longer but he had to leave. Both wanted to be together but that would happen in time as they say Time is what prevents everything from happening at once.

It was almost morning when Ravi finished; Shreya was scared and happy at the same time. She looked at Ravi and told him she would punish him once he is done with the mission. Ravi smiled and agreed to any retribution that lay in wait for him. He had to leave before daylight; prior to which he asked Shreya to meet Sujith and tell him everything. He would let Sujith know about the next meeting and the plan there after; till then he asked Shreya to be safe. He kissed her goodbye and went out the same way he had come in.

Shreya stood at the window for hours after Ravi had gone. She knew the next few days were going to be really important for both of them. It was 9 by the time she freshened up; she had to meet Sujith. She called him and asked to meet up at the coffee house near Parel. She was worried about Ravi’s safety but then again what good would her worry do for him. She knew Ravi wouldn’t stop till Rajan and his accomplices were apprehended. Lost in thoughts Shreya walked into the cafe; Sujith was already there. When Shreya related the whole story to Sujith; it was as if he instantly knew what he had to do. He also immediately called two of his trusted officers and asked them to keep a watch at Shreya’s place just to be sure that nothing untoward happened to her. It was again time for wait; but this time they knew what to expect. Till the next step; Shreya and Sujith lingered with baited breathe for the nightmare to come to an end.

Ravi waited anxiously for day when Rajan would be behind bars; he dreamt of spending time with Shreya and the kids without fearing for their safety. Shreya longed for a normal life with her husband and kids and prayed for things to settle soon. Sujith waited for the opportunity to catch the offenders who had casted havoc on the lives of many. They all had one thing in common; the resolve to see through this tough time as they say if you're going through hell, keep going for there will be light at the end of the tunnel! Would things go as planned; or would Rajan find out about Ravi’s scheme and harm him and his family; is what was left to be seen. Would Ravi’s gamble pay off; possibly it would as they say to dare is to lose one's footing momentarily but to eventually find what we sought in the long run.

The day finally arrived. Ravi had informed Sujith of Rajan’s warehouses and of the place where Rajan was about to come for a drug deal. They were going to simultaneously raid all the places. Ravi already had mailed the copies of evidence against Rajan to Sujith. Rajan liked to keep trophies of all his crimes; it gave him some sort of sadistic pleasure. Ravi found out about that and took that as evidence too. It only remained to arrest him before he got any hint and escaped the country. That would only happen if he was apprehended that night.

Shreya knew that it was the day that would decide the course of her life. If Rajan was caught; Ravi would come back safely to her. She prayed that everything would go down as planned. So at the stroke of 8 which was the stipulated time for the mission; Rajan’s men outside Shreya’s house were arrested; his warehouses were raided and most important of them all; Rajan was surrounded and arrested while in the middle of a deal. But Rajan was still defiant and mocked the officer saying that they couldn't hold him for long for lack of evidence. But he was wrong this time; there was a twinkle in the eyes of Sujith for he knew how wrong Rajan was. Ravi who by now had come out of his disguise to Rajan’s horror told him that several copies of Rajan’s misdeeds and trophies of his murders were mailed not only to the headquarters but to politicians and media houses. So even if his aides in the police force would want to get him freed they couldn't for fear of being discovered by the media. The time was up for Rajan and it was the time for Ravi to get back to his life.

Two months had passed since the incident; everything was back to normal infact even better than normal. As promised Ravi had taken a sabbatical from work; he had literally taken over the house. Shreya was now starting to paint again; Ravi wanted her to pursue her interests too. She had given enough years to the needs of the family; her kid’s and Ravi’s. He wanted to make up for all the lost time. He knew how much Shreya missed her passion for lack of time so he made sure she had enough free time at hand to create wonders with her brush. The kids were happy to have their dad back in their lives; though they still were as naughty as before. Their house was again a haven of happiness. They were together looking forward to a great life ahead. Infact they were soon leaving for the long due vacation to the Andaman’s. They finally resumed their lives from where it was left off at Khandala; they were having another shot at their happily ever after!

“May the sun shine, all day long,
Everything go right, and nothing wrong.
May those you love bring love back to you,
and may all the wishes you wish come true!”

Shahrukh Khan To Help Charu Khandal Ra.One Animator

Shahrukh Khan comes forward to support the employee of his company, Charu Khandal.

Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan has said that the fatal accident of the animator of his production company, Charu Khandal, is extremely unfortunate and he is praying for her speedy recovery.

Dismissing all reports in the media which suggest otherwise, Shahrukh, who just returned from a visit abroad said, “I have been worried about Charu’s health and have been in constant touch with people to inquire about it. I will also pray to God for her speedy recovery.”

The animator worked with Shahrukh’s production company Red Chilies Entertainment on the Bollywood star’s last home production Ra.One. She suffered serious injuries to her spine when the auto rickshaw in which she was returning home after a dinner, was hit by a speeding Honda car. Whereas her sister escaped unhurt, Charu and one of her friend Vikrant Goel, who accompanied her in the auto got seriously hurt.

Though Charu suffered serious injuries in the spine and had to be operated in the neck, Red Chilies refused to help saying that she is not a permanent employee. The company said that their rules do not allow to help temporary employees and Charu falls in that category only.

But now it seems that after the incident got reported in the media, Shahrukh has done a total U-turn on the issue and asked his production company to give full assistance to the injured animator. He has also deputed a person from his company at the hospital, who will be available round the clock to provide help to the family of the lady struggling for life.

A friend of Charu Khandal told a leading English Daily, “Shah Rukh Khan visited Charu on March 28th. He spoke to her family and assured them financial and moral support. He said as per the doctors and the treatment given, the hospital charges might go up to 11-12 Lakhs for Charu’s recovery for which someone from Red Chillies will get back to them. However, the family is predicting the charges to go much above the quoted amount, considering how precarious her condition is. So far, it’s only the family who has been paying the massive hospital bills. The hospital charges are not less either.”

Meanwhile, Charu Khandal has had a successful surgery and is on the path to recovery. Though doctors have said that she will never recover fully. Though some news reports are saying that Shahrukh Khan’s promised money has not reached yet to Charu Khandal’s family. And her family is hoping that promised help will reach her soon.

Hindi is closely related to Urdu, the main language of Pakistan, which is written with the Arabic script, and linguists consider Standard Hindi and Standard Urdu to be different formal registers both derived from the Khari Boli dialect, which is also known as Hindustani. Apart from the difference in writing systems, the other main difference between Hindi and Urdu is that Hindi contains more vocabulary from Sanskrit, while Urdu contains more vocabulary from Persian. At an informal spoken level there are few significant differences between Urdu and Hindi and they could be considered varieties a single language.

Hindi first started to be used in writing during the 4th century AD. It was originally written with the Brahmi script but since the 11th century AD it has been written with the Devanāgarī alphabet. The first printed book in Hindi was John Gilchrist's Grammar of the Hindoostanee Language which was published in 1796
